Vegetarian Means Vegan, Right?

Actually vegetarians tend to differ from what Vegans consider themselves to be. The exact reasons for why, evade me at the moment.

I eat plenty of vegetables but also enjoy eggs so I think this means I may be a vegetarian but I am not a vegan because eggs are not on their menu. I need to watch my calories and weight.

Veganism, if I may, seems to be more like a religion than just a healthy eating regime. I think the term is applied to not only eggs but even to wearing things that may have once been alive, like leather.

I have no feelings on this one way or another and think our life choices are just that, our life choices.

K Cup Coffeemaker Review

By Donna Anderson

If you've been considering the purchase of a K Cup Coffeemaker, then read on. I'll tell you a little about what they are and how they work and why I chose the Keurig B60 Special Edition Gourmet Single-Cup Home-Brewing System.

What IS a K Cup Coffeemaker? K Cup Coffeemaker is an industry term that has come to be used to refer to several coffeemakers on the market that operate by forcing hot water through a K Cup, or Coffee Pod, to produce one cup of perfectly brewed coffee at a time. The "K" in K Cup referes back to the manufacturer Keurig, whose special system has set the industry standard. The B60 is easy to use - simply drop the K Cup Coffee Pod into the machine, hit the start button, and get a steaming hot, fresh cup of coffee. Just remove the no-mess pod and toss.

Some People May be Thinking- Why Would People Want a Coffeemaker That Only Brews One Cup of Coffee at a Time?

1. You Can Save Money! The half pot of coffee that you couldn't finish before work, will not have to be poured out anymore.

2. Wonderful Taste! Since all of the cups are brewed freshly. The bitterness from the bottom of the pot is gone.

3. Assortment. Your guests will love having a coffee brewed for their own individual taste and so will you.

4. A Breeze To Clean Up! Since the coffee is sealed in individual containers , all you need to do is throw the pod away. No more grounds that are messy to throw out!

Here's how the K Cup Coffeemaker brews a perfect cup of coffee every time.

The reservoir holds between eight and sixty ounces of water depending on your model. You may like a model that can be left on, or perhaps you prefer an automatic turn off with heating times of one to three minutes. Once a pod is placed inside the coffeemaker, it is punctured to allow hot water through the pod for brewing perfection. That's it. You get a perfectly brewed cup every time.

What Is The Best K Cup Coffeemaker?

I tried many different K Cup Coffeemakers, and I decided on the Keurig B60 Special Edition Gourmet Single- Cup Home Brewing System for it's great versatility and good price. There are two different temperatures for brewing, so you can get a larger cup that is hotter and lasts longer, and there are three cup sizes as well, so smaller cups can be made when in a hurry. It is very simple to fill the reservoir full of water, and it holds 48 ounces- this is enough for 9 cups of coffee or more. It features a nice looking LED back lighting that is blue, and it is well made and strong. It fits in perfectly with modern kitchen decor. The varieties of available coffee for the Keurig B60 seem to have no end, since I have a Keurig My K Cup Reusable Coffee Filter.

Will a Single-Cup Brewing System work for entertaining?

The Keurig B60 Special Edition Gourmet Single-Cup Home-Brewing System is perfect for parties and get-togethers. The 48-ounce water reservoir allows you to brew at least 9 cups of coffee, at one minute intervals, before you have to refill again. Offer your guests a selection of coffees and let them chose their favorites. Not only will they rave about the flavor, they'll be amazed that you were able to accommodate their individual tastes so quickly and effortlessly. Your party will be the talk of the town!

Is The Keurig B60 Difficult To Use?

No way! You can carry the water reservoir to the sink to fill it, and you won't have to make a mess all over your kitchen counters. You can make at least 9 cups of coffee before you have to refill it again. All you have to do, is lift the handle on the machine, and out in the K Cup Coffee Pod that is pre measured, and then the machine does everything else.

Can the Strength of Brewing Be Changed?

Certainly! Keurig offers several blends of coffee in a stronger version for those mornings when you just need an extra jolt. Or, you can simply adjust the brewing size. Making a smaller cup will use less water. And using less water will mean stronger coffee. Try blending flavors, too, for your own secret recipe! Along with the large selection of coffees, you'll also find teas and hot chocolates that will work with the Keurig B60.

How many blends can you choose from?

Too many to count!

In addition to specially created Keurig coffees, you can purchase a Perfect Pod Holster that will adapt your machine fit coffee pods from nearly any manufacturer. If that isn't enough, there is also the Keurig My K Cup Reusable Coffee Filter. This filter lets you easily use any coffee brand of your choice from store brands to gourmet specialty blends.

hi just to clear up from your veg v. vegan post so yea your right you would be vegetarian but not vegan. Vegan is a lifestlye where as the diet portion by itself is a plant based diet usually based on health, full vegan is an all around lifestyle based on animal rights with the health aspect just being like a bonus. Everything you said it includes was right just thought the life style vs. diet thing might help clear it up for you a bit maybe. :)

Vegans don't eat animal byproducts including eggs but also anything made with milk, cheese, animal broth, honey, carmine coloring (made from beetles. A vegan diet reduces risks of several more health related problems vs. vegetarianism like cholesterol, heart disease, diabetes, and kidney disease. Physicians Committee for Responsible Health is a group of doctors that elaborate on mechanism and health. It is a diet first, a lifestyle second, many people do the diet plan as prescribed by doctors but still use animal products in their bath goods and clothing. PETA gives it a bad rep.
