Vegetarian Means Vegan, Right?

Actually vegetarians tend to differ from what Vegans consider themselves to be. The exact reasons for why, evade me at the moment.

I eat plenty of vegetables but also enjoy eggs so I think this means I may be a vegetarian but I am not a vegan because eggs are not on their menu. I need to watch my calories and weight.

Veganism, if I may, seems to be more like a religion than just a healthy eating regime. I think the term is applied to not only eggs but even to wearing things that may have once been alive, like leather.

I have no feelings on this one way or another and think our life choices are just that, our life choices.

Start A Healthy Life Today

By Marcus Werthan

Starting on Monday I will change my life! I will begin eating only healthy food and no more cigarettes and alcohol for me! Does this sound familiar? I bet it does. There are so many of us who doesnt have such healthy habits as we wish. And changing is hard. Nevertheless, in order to live longer and happier we must do those changes!

Of course, you will start considering a diet. But they seem so many. Some of them say that you will see the result in just a month. Others, in just a couple of weeks. These sound great, but what about the side effects? Maybe they will work. Still you have to consider the marks that they will leave.

Losing too much weight in a short time can leave numerous marks over your body, like cellulite, hair loss, furrows, skin aging, irritations, fall of the immune system. All of these wont show up during the diet, but they will after a while. That is why choosing the right diet that best suites your body is essential.

It is hard to make your own decision when it comes to the changes you make to your body. That is way, a nutritionist that is specialized in diets and eating habits, is the person you must take advices from. You may think that you should eat just a few things when keeping a diet, but your body also need proteins, fat acids or carbohydrates, depending on your body. It is considered safe to loose between 4 and 6 pounds a month.

The things that are safe to do, even without the advice of a nutritionist, is eating ecological food and making exercises every day. A lot of diseases can be prevented with this type of living. Its a must that your every day meal contains fruits, vegetables and cereals. Instead of using sunflower oil, try preparing your food with olive oil. Fish is another product that should be consumed twice a week because it helps the cholesterol to have a normal value.

Above all eating rules, there is one rule that no one should dismiss: doing physical exercises. Your body needs to burn all the calories and to absorb the healthy elements from food. Dont let your digestive system do this all alone. Start jogging. Or swimming. Or go to the gym once in a while. If these seem to much, you can at least make time for a long walk every day. You will notice that you will begin smileing with your whole body.

We all live in a world where the time seems to shrink every day, where our job is consuming all of our resources, but without a healthy way of living, we wont survive for long. Find a source of energy and dont let yourself trapped in rutine. Live healthy to be healthy.

Would You Call the 6 Week Body Makeover a Scam?

By Rico Kidd

The 6 Week Body Makeover by Michael Thurmond is an eating program that states that the user will be able to lose up to 30 pounds in six weeks. Like any prudent consumer, I performed research on this product before I purchased it.

One un-happy person that has done the program can make thousand other people not buy the program. All they have to do is post their negative opinion on a consumer review website and people will flock to the site, read the post, and ultimately be discouraged that the program doesn't work. Note that in any program, you will always find people that can point out the imperfections. Some people are just born to complain.

This article will give a fair review of the product. I consider myself an un-biased third party as I am not advertising anything, nor want to sell you any weight loss products. The only thing I want from you is an open-mind and a willingness to learn that not everything that people complain about is true.

Does the program work? Will you lose weight? The plain and simple truth is, yes, you will lose weight. Matter of fact, you might lose a lot of weight. I've been on this diet for over three weeks and have lost around five pounds. Five pounds might not seem like a lot to you, but I can tell that I've lost fat weight and have put on muscle. My goals are different from other people and if your goal is to lose a lot of fat weight, you will have the ability to do so.

Many people who are unhappy with the program have actually stated that they lost A LOT of weight. They were just un-happy with the program because it was too restrictive to them. These people quit half way through the program and ended up gaining all the weight back. They claim that they lost mainly water weight due to the restricted sodium intake (salt and sodium is very restricted on this program). Yes, you will lose water weight; however, you are supposed to be drinking at least 100 oz. of water a day on this program so you can't blame all of your weight loss on water weight loss due to retention.

Many people complain that the diet is too "restrictive" and that you will lose too much weight too soon. Other people complain that it's "all too sudden" and that they need to "wean off" of junk food. I've learned that if you want something bad enough (in this case losing weight), you will fight and strive toward your goals. So, how bad do you want to lose weight? Are you willing to give up eating that bucket of fried chicken for a flatter stomach?

Other people complain that all they lost was water weight and that they gained all the weight back once they left the program. What they don't tell you is that they started eating unhealthy again and went back to their old eating habits. People are not victims when it comes to weight loss and weight gain. You ultimately make the decision of whether or not you will lose weight or gain weight. No one is forcing that donut into your mouth.
